I’m Jonelle Prokopchak, owner and creator of the trademarked fitness method called Zen Barre®️. I own a yoga studio as well as an online barre certification company. I help other women get certified to teach Zen Barre classes so they can help women feel good about themselves.

When not teaching or furthering the Zen Barre® curriculum, Jonelle is a Speech Language Pathologist.
Where did you grow up? What was life like? Did you have an entrepreneurial family member? Is there anything looking back that started as a kid that lead you into what you do now?
I grew up in a small community called Dallas,PA. YES there is a Dallas somewhere else besides Texas. 🤣 I came from a family of entrepreneurs. My grandfather started a company that my father currently owns and runs. There was boss status in this blood well before I came along. Growing up I had no idea what I wanted to do- but I always had that drive to helps others.
How did you get into your profession/industry?
I got into the fitness industry years ago when preparing for my sisters wedding. We joined a local boot camp and fell in love. From there i started getting certified to teach and immediately began teaching a variety of classes. Leading others especially women helped inspire me to create my own fitness method.
What do you love about what you do?
The feeling of helping others is the best. I love seeing how strong woman can be when they push themselves and just let go.
What keeps you going thru the hard business days?
Hope. Knowing life has its ebbs and flows. If everyday was a good day then what’s the point? I enjoy a good challenge and as my husband says “you can’t have the sour without the sweet”
What is the greatest lesson you have learned as a business owner thus far?
You will never make everyone happy.
If you could go back and give your “starting your business” self a piece of advice, what would it be?
You got this girl. Rock it. Lead with your heart and everything will fall into place. It doesn’t have to be perfect, every good business evolves.

My clients! My instructors! Family! The basis for everything that I do.
What is the first thing you do each day?
Wake up- aren’t we blessed to get to do that everyday? No for real the first thing I do each day is check on my 3 month old, Jada Zen.
What is your top goal over the next year?
To get my new community workshop started.
